Management Team

Mike Lochmann, President
Mike began as an apprentice with Staff Electric in 1973 and spent 10 years as a foreman and 11 years as a project manager before becoming president in 1998. His career path has given him firsthand experience and an understanding of all aspects of construction. He is highly supportive of his staff and interacts with them frequently by lending his expertise and assistance on critical project issues. Mike’s leadership and close monitoring assures that a project team is chosen that best capitalizes on their strengths, benefiting clients and key staff alike. And even with all the responsibilities of running Staff Electric, Mike continues to remain closely involved with his clients.

James Sullivan, Vice President
As project manager for some of the largest, most complex construction projects in Wisconsin, James’ energy and passion have helped him earn the reputation in the design/build industry for being “exceptional” in the service and quality he and his crew provide. With over 26 years of electrical contracting experience, all with Staff Electric, James leads one of the largest crews in Southeastern Wisconsin, where all the general foremen have master electrician licenses and continuing education is standard.

Dave Hill, Vice President/Senior Project Manager
Dave began his electrical construction career with Staff Electric over 42 years ago and has risen to serve a dual role within the company as a result of his experience and outstanding work ethic. His knowledge and dedication to every aspect of his work, along with his ability to evaluate the entire spectrum of a project, problem-solve and effectively match his staff with each client and project gives clients a high level of confidence in both his electrical skills and management ability.

Tim Morgan, Vice President/Madison Branch Manager
Tim began his career with Staff Electric as an apprentice in 1979 and has spent 25 years moving through the ranks from apprentice, to foreman, to project superintendent, to his current position as a project manager. Tim’s knowledge of the work done by other trades gives him the insight to recognize issues that might arise. Additionally, his ability to identify and understand the critical path of each project helps him make sure the necessary manpower is scheduled.

Project Managers

Mark Chappel, Project Manager
Mark has spent 18 of his 22 years in the electrical industry at Staff Electric. As project manager, he empowers his crew to do the highest quality of work by giving them the tools and information they need and then guiding them through continual follow-up. This ensures each project is on time, under budget and maintains the highest standards.

Jerry Cierniak, Project Manager
Jerry has managed a large number of projects varying in size, complexity and type during his 41 years in the electrical contracting industry. His experience in health care, commercial, industrial, institutional and marine industries ranges from small privately owned projects to large projects with electrical content valued at more than $11 million. His extensive field experience has given him insight into project requirements that enable him to successfully manage projects that are exceptionally difficult or complex.

Keith Watts, Project Manager
Keith began his career in the electrical industry more than 20 years ago, and joined Staff Electric as an apprentice in 1990. Now a talented project manager, his ability to envision a job from start to fi nish, and break it down to fi nd solutions, has led to the successful completion of projects of all sizes and types. Keith dedicates his time to reviewing plans and specifi cations to make certain the necessary manpower and equipment is scheduled.His methodology of identifying and understanding a projects path and his early recognition of potential issues helps avoid pitfalls and leads to the successful completion of jobs.

Robyn Usgaard, Project Manager
Robyn has been a certified Systemax designer with Staff Electric for the past six years bringing a high level of focus and dedication to his work. Robyn’s systematic approach to prioritizing tasks, goals and follow through allows his to deliver a quality product to our clients. Part of his success lies not only in his ability to overcome stressful situations and problem-solve issues as they arise, but also in his discipline in planning an efficient strategy to get jobs accomplished, stay focused on the goal and get things right the first time

Rick Martiny, Project Manager
Rick has spent his entire 32-year career with Staff Electric, gaining a thorough understanding of the electrical industry and bringing a high standard of quality to every project. With a belief that it is critical to understand the entire job from the beginning, Rick works closely with his team and clients, avoiding errors that might arise by carefully evaluating the specifications in advance and anticipating any challenges.
