Summary

Under the direction of Executive Leadership, the Sr Electrical Engineer is responsible for review, approval, and creation of power one-lines, common power, lighting, lighting control, and some integration with low voltage technology for new and renovated construction projects. The individual will provide leadership to electrical engineers and designers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively provides guidance to Engineers and Designers as project specific tasks are executed
  • Provides training and mentoring to Engineers and Designers
  • Provides electrical engineering for complex projects with minimal team leader oversight
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications
  • Prepares and studies technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements
  • Plans with layout of electrical equipment for projects
  • Conducts field surveys, studies diagrams, and reviews other data to identify and correct power system problems or solutions
  • Provides guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
  • Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specification
  • Compiles data and writes report regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
  • Participates in bid presentations and customer/project interviews

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 8 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
  • PE credentials in the state of WI
  • Proficient in MS Office specifically Excel and Outlook
